National Parks

Let nature be mature! Is the philosophy of the Bavarian Forest National Park. Nowhere else between the Atlantic Ocean and the Ural Mountains is such a large area of forests and moors allowed to grow and develop without the interference of man, into a unique landscape of primeval forest, a true wilderness.
The Eifel National Park is located in North Rhine-westphalia in the northern part of the Eifel Region. Not only does it fill the gap that existed in the network of national park on western Germany until recently, it is also the first conservation area to protect upland beech forests on acidic soil that are exposed to an Atlantic climate.
The berchtesgaden National Park is one of the oldest protected areas in the a=Alps. It is part of the alpine territory near the Bavarian town of Berchtesgaden in the southeast of Germany. The park was established in 1078 by a decree from the Bavarian Government.
